Dr. Martin Vogelsang

Managing Director & CEO

Impact Investor, Board Member & Social Entrepreneur with a long-standing career in the banking and strategy consulting business

Martin is Head of the Supervisory Board at the Ukrainian Social Venture Fund (USVF), a venture philanthropy organization initiated by individual and institutional social investors. He is also member of the Board of Directors of Social Synergy Foundation based in Mumbai/India, where he spent several years and launched Fem Sustainable Social Solutions (FemS3), a social enterprise-incubator based out of Bangalore focussing on seed investments and capacity building. Martin served as the founding Managing Director and later Senior Advisor of Bundesverband Impact Investing (BVII), the German platform for impact investing (2018 until 2025), and as the DACH Country Representative of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA). He holds a PhD in Business Ethics (Department of Economics) from Katholische Universität Eichstätt in Germany.

Prateesh Prasad

Impact investment professional & board member at the intersection of investment, business and social impact

Prateesh is a Board Member and the COO of Social Synergy Deutschland e.V. He also serves as the Impact and Knowledge Manager at Aqua for All based in The Netherlands. His primary role is to ground the organization’s strategy in the practical realities of institution-building, linking the approach of the German platform directly with the decade-long experience of the Social Synergy Foundation in India. Before his current roles, Prateesh spent 10+ years working with private and public investors and social businesses alike, including boots-on-the-ground work across Africa and India. His deep familiarity with the ecosystem allows him to effectively bridge European philanthropic capital with on-the-ground impact. His key areas of expertise span Blended Finance & Catalytic Capital, Investment Due Diligence, Portfolio Management, ESG Strategy, and Impact Measurement & Management (IMM). Prateesh holds a Post Graduate degree in Finance.

Torsten Saffier

Board Member, Chief Financial Officer

PR, Marketing & Communications Expert & Entrepreneur with profound experiences in the financial, social and cultural sectors

Torsten has over 20 years of expertise in the advertising and marketing industry. As managing director of the Berlin-based communications agency RE'PUBLIC, he is responsible for strategic direction in the specialized areas of marketing and PR for capital and financial markets. A significant part of his professional career as a freelance photographer and project manager with a focus on journalistic, documentary, and artistic productions involves dealing with socially relevant topics. He has worked for the Deutscher Bundesrat, Diakonie & Caritas, and as an art project manager for the German AIDS Foundation, where he developed and coordinated international artistic installation projects.
